San Felipe WWTP

Gallatin Operational Solutions, LLC (Gallatin) supports private and public utility and tribal entities to meet community needs by providing specialized technical services to operate water and wastewater systems

Gallatin operates several facilities in New Mexico including:

  • Taos Valley Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility
  • San Felipe Pueblo Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • City of Las Vegas Water Treatment Plant
  • City of Las Vegas Waste Water Treatment Plant
  • Edgewood Middle School Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Route 66 Elementary School Wastewater Treatment Plant

Our priority as facility operators is your community's health and safety and bringing creative solutions to improve the performance of your system. What makes us unique is our close affiliation with Souder, Miller & Associates which enables us to combine the experience of plan operators with that of professional design engineers, making our teams effective at assessing your facility and implementing operational improvements. We have been engaged in the design and construction process and overseen the startup of four Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) including the San Felipe Pueblo, the Town of Taos, Paa-Ko, and Edgewood.

We recognize that the needs of each facility are different and change over time. Gallatin is flexible and can shift resources to address specific challenges. Our flexibility allows us to address repairs, cleaning, or process modifications to improve your facility's capabilities with minimal disruption of service to your customers. We continuously improve and optimize facility operations through regular communication across teams and knowledge sharing under the guidance of experienced facility managers.

As the facility owner, you can access critical information through remote-monitoring systems that our operators frequently use to support their activities. We work to integrate our facilities with instrumentation and controls that can be linked to SCADA. Also, with many of our operators living in the communities we serve, our response time is minimal.

City of Las Veags

City of Las Vegas

Gallatin began managing operations of the City of Las Vegas Water Treatment Plant in 2018 and the Waste Water Treatment Plant (2.4 MGD) in early 2019. Gallatin has full time staff at each site and work with the City operators to perform ongoing O&M tasks. The source water for the WTP is the Gallinas River. Gallatin also manages the collection system for the City as part of the WWTP efforts and the WWTP provides reclaimed water for irrigation at various parks and fields in the City.

San Felip WWTP

San Felipe

Gallatin took over contract operations of the Pueblo's Wastewater Treatment Plant in February 2017. The plant was designed by SMA and AQUA in 2008 and incorporates Kubota flat-plate membranes. It currently treats approximately 180,000 gallons per day (gpd) and is capable of treating up to 300,000 gpd. The plant was built in two phases: Phase 2 will include installation of additional equipment to bring the capacity of the facility up to 600,000 gpd. The facility is staffed by one full time and one half-time operator.

Taos WWTP

Taos WWTP

SMA and Gallatin have provided professional consulting services to the Town of Taos on a variety of infrastructure improvements projects for more than fifteen years. The Taos WWTF upgrades began in 2007 with modifications to the facility Headworks. In 2010, the facility underwent a major upgrade to the Zenon Zeeweed membrane system. The facility was built to 2.0 million gallons per day (MGD) capacity and can be expanded to 2.5 MGD. It currently treats approximately 1.1 MGD.
